Introducing the DC14005
Project

Project DC14005

Overview:

The DC 14005 is a compact Liquid-Air Battery Thermal Management System designed to keep batteries at optimal temperature and extend their lifespan. It removes heat directly to the ambient air, eliminating the need for a dual-circuit coolant system. Built for demanding mobile and rail applications, it delivers reliable cooling with a rugged, energy-efficient design.

Key Features:

  • Direct liquid-to-air cooling for simpler installation and reduced system complexity.
  • Multiple voltage options: 400 VAC, 350 VDC, or 630 VDC.
  • Cooling capacity 2–6 kW, automatically controlled for efficiency.
  • Integrated flow sensor and coolant filter for reliable operation.
  • Certified for harsh environments (EN 61373, EN 45545-2, EN 50121-3-2*).
  • Flexible control interfaces including CANOpen, Modbus TCP, remote on/off, or self-control.

Project Goals:

  • Deliver stable battery cooling up to 6 kW in demanding mobile applications.
  • Provide easy system integration through standardized voltage options and control protocols.
  • Reduce complexity by removing the need for a secondary coolant-air system.
  • Ensure compliance with key mobility and railway safety standards.

Current Status:

The DC 14005 is fully developed and tested, with ongoing certification for optional DC voltage variants. It is ready for use in mobile battery systems, rolling stock, electric vehicles, robotics, and other environments requiring compact and reliable thermal management.
