The first product in this series was developed to operate in an application in case of a power blackout. Nowadays there are sites where the customer removes the normal power grid air conditioners and replaces them with DC12500 models due to the low energy consumption and its ability to work off-grid and hybrid from 24 Vdc and 48 Vdc battery banks.
In other cases sites are switching more to solar and/or wind energy (hybrid), or in order to save fuel and reducing running hours of generators, the 230 or 115 Vac driven air conditioners are replaced by the DC12500.
A DC12500 has a large opening in order to provide sufficient airflow, if this large opening is not feasible in the side wall of the application, the DC9300 is recommended.
