Project DC6001
Overview:
This project focuses on integrating the DC 6001 Liquid-Liquid Battery Thermal Management System into next-generation electric platforms. The system provides precise heating and cooling through a compact reversible heat pump, ensuring batteries operate at their ideal temperature and improving overall system efficiency by reusing excess heat.
Key Features:
- Reversible heat pump (2–8.5 kW) for both heating and cooling.
- Wide operating voltage (210–850 VDC) for flexible platform compatibility.
- High efficiency with low power consumption and strong COP performance.
- Smart controls via CAN 2.0, J1939, CANopen, or autonomous operation.
- Liquid-liquid architecture for stable, energy-efficient thermal transfer
Project Goals:
- Integrate a compact thermal solution to extend battery life and reliability.
- Improve vehicle/system efficiency through heat reuse.
- Ensure seamless compatibility with electric, off-highway, mining, and industrial equipment.
- Provide flexible communication and control options for different project requirements.
Current Status:
The DC 6001 has completed development and validation. The project now focuses on system integration, performance optimization for specific platforms, and tailoring control strategies to meet end-user requirements.
